Kam Razavi
Member Since 2018I am a PhD candidate at the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. My research examines the nexus of journalism, climate change and solution-oriented communication. Specifically, I am examining the role of ‘solutions journalism’ – serious news reporting on ways people respond to social problems. I come to academia from 15+ years in the news industry, where I worked mostly as a television news producer for a major Canadian news outlet. I am interested in promoting innovative and collaborative approaches to news and communication, particularly in response to online misinformation. I am on a one-year leave of absence (until Sept. 2019) from the newsroom – making progress on my PhD dissertation. I can be reached at [email protected].
