I'm a problem solver and have worked as a software engineer. A few years ago I took 6 months to take a fresh look at politics. Surprisingly, I found something new:

Democracy only works reliably if politicians are accountable to voters, yet accountability wasn't designed in. It was assumed that elections would provide accountability. First, they provide very little. Second, the parties make them provide even less. Often politicians assume they're accountable, which helps. But increasingly, the system has evolved to thwart even this. There's so little accountability today that we've developed a myth that the media provides it.

Worse, few people can define accountability correctly. If you look at definitions, when it comes to politics, we water down the definition even more. So few even know that it's missing.

First, I created a rigorous definition of accountability. Next, I made it into a functional definition so that a system can be built to make it possible. Then I designed a system that would be rewarding to use and have the effect. Now I'm looking for help building it, and funding.
