Participant Recruitment and Selection

A steering group led by Annexe Communities was formed in 2020 consisting of representatives of community councils, local churches, residents and Partick Housing Association. The group decides on the format and process of each round of funds – ensuring applications are accessible to all who are eligible. This follows the Scottish Government's best practice guide for PB projects in Scotland,

Influence, Outcomes, and Effects

The 28th of September saw the close of voting for the Autumn launch of the Partick and Thornwood Ideas Fund. The September round of funding received 18 eligible applications and 760 residents participated in voting for the projects they would like to see funded. 13 projects were ultimately successful and will share the £10,000 funding pot.

Successful projects ranged from supplies for community growing projects to free willow weaving classes and guitar lessons for local people to learn new skills. Applicants including the local library, three local churches, a Primary After School Club, and a Community Interest Company (CIC), as well as many non-constituted community groups and applications from individuals.
